Today, we’re staying in Frankfort due to rain and possible storms predicted. So far, we’re only seeing light rain. We walked to the beach last night and witnessed yet another beautiful sunset, followed by a mandatory visit to the ice cream shop. Never seem to tire of an awesome sunset and the conclusion of a beautiful day.
The ice cream shop sits right behind our boat within plain sight from our fly bridge. This gives Jacobson’s Marina Resort an extra good rating. We did find a Petoskey stone so the admiral is very happy, and it is very unique.
Tomorrow, plans are: continue north to South Manitou Island. SMI is approximately 25 miles from our current location. Potentially spending a couple days on the Island in their picturesque and protected anchorage in the bay. It’s been several years since we’ve stepped foot on the Island or moored in the bay. Note: South Manitou is Steve’s favorite spot! Teresa prefers something in between South Manitou and Mackinaw Island. Beaver Island fits that description for her. BI might be on the itinerary for later in our cruise. Time will tell.
